POOL MAID use low levels of sodium chloride, only .5% (5000PPM salt) which is electrolyzed in a special cell to produce useable chlorine in the form of sodium hypochlorite. Salt levels are around one-seventh of seawater!
After the addition of salt to your pool, no salt is lost through the POOL MAID process, or by evaporation. Small amounts may be required occasionally to compensate for back-washing, splashing and dilution from rain.
